THE CARETAKER: But renewal is intrinsic to destruction, and the spirit of change will always change. Out of the ashes, one seed sprouted and the Ramble began to grow. No longer part of the Spirit of the Wood, it grown unbounded. And someday it will grow until it covers the land, strangling all that lives there.

She shuts the book.
