TENT CAMPING

There are no designated campsites at Camp Ramblewood–you can set up your tent wherever you want! While there is plenty of space, tent camping is first come first serve, so specific areas cannot be reserved. The main tent camping area is in front of the Horseshoe (cabins G-N on the map), which will have shared bathroom/shower facilities, a generator/power station, a drinking water station, and a grill for public use. We expect this area to be loud and well-populated, but if you choose to camp in a quieter area, don’t worry, nothing is very far away and you will still be able to use these amenities.

Tent campers should note that vehicles are only permitted on the grounds during load-in (Thursday, June 6th from 12pm-5pm) and load-out (Sunday, June 9th from 9am-2pm), unless it is raining or muddy, in which case vehicles are not permitted on the grass at all. If you arrive/leave outside these times, or if it is raining/muddy, you will need to bring your gear to your campsite on foot or with limited support from our golf carts. Please view our full rules for more information.

CAR & RV CAMPING

If you prefer to car camp (either to sleep in your vehicle or just to have it nearby), or if you plan to bring an RV or other large vehicle, you will need to purchase a car or RV camping pass with your registration for a small additional fee ($15/car or $30/RV). Car and RV camping are restricted to a large grassy field located directly behind the Horseshoe (cabins G-N on the map), which also contains the shared bathroom/shower facilities. Please be aware that there are no traditional power or sewage hookups for RVs at Camp Ramblewood, although we hope to provide an additional power station for this area (generator/extension cords).

CABIN CAMPING

If you’re an indoor cat at heart, we’ve got you covered! Camp Ramblewood has multiple types of cabins on site, with over 275 twin-size Tempurpedic beds available to attendee groups.

IMPORTANT INFO – READ BEFORE BUYING!

  • Cabins are sold to a single attendee, who will be the cabin leader. You are welcome to invite as many or as few friends as you want (or have) to stay in your cabin–MAGStock does not limit occupancy.
  • Cabin purchases are non-refundable! Make sure you have sufficient roommates before you make a purchase. MAGStock will not be a party to any disputes regarding split payments or occupancy (unless there is a safety concern).
  • We do not offer partial event rates. Cabins are for the whole event and will remain reserved until you and your group arrive.
  • Purchasing a cabin reserves that type of cabin for your group, but it does not entitle you to a specific cabin. We will reach out to cabin leaders closer to the event to obtain assignment preferences & sharing preferences (where applicable), which we will accommodate to the best of our ability.
  • You will be sent your cabin number before arriving–it is your responsibility to share this information with your group. Our registration staff will only know the name of the cabin leader for each cabin and may not be able to direct group members if they arrive before you.
  • Each attendee staying in a cabin must purchase a wristband to the event. Cabins are add-on purchases and do not include admission.
  • We have cabin space set aside for those who require accessibility accommodations. Please contact accessibility@magstock.org before making a purchase so we can help figure out the best option for your needs.

CABIN TYPES – READ BEFORE BUYING!

  • Quarter Cabin ($600): One of four rooms in a shared cabin. You will have 7 beds for your group and your own private entrance. Each room has an interior open doorway (no door) that leads to a common room & bathroom, which are shared with the other 3 quarter cabin groups. You may wish to bring a tension rod & curtain for additional privacy.
  • Half Cabin ($900): One half of a shared cabin. You will have 10 beds for your group and a semi-private entrance. There is a shared bathroom and storage room in the middle which partially separates the halves; however, there is no doorway or door that separates them completely. You may wish to bring a longer tension rod & curtain for additional privacy.
  • Horseshoe Cabin ($800): A fully private room in the Horseshoe building. You will have 10 beds for your group and your own private entrance. Large communal bathrooms are shared with the other horseshoe cabin groups, as well as with tent campers.
  • Private Cabin ($1400): A standalone cabin containing 13 beds for your group and your own private bathroom.

OTHER HELPFUL DETAILS

  • Cabin campers must bring their own pillows, linens, and/or sleeping bags.
  • Cabins must be returned to their original condition at the end of MAGStock! All trash and personal gear must be removed before departing. Vandalism (including applying graffiti or stickers, breaking furniture or windows, etc.) is dumb and rude–don’t do it. Failure to treat cabins with respect may result in fines, loss of cabin privileges (immediate or in the future), loss of attendance privileges, and possible legal action. If you notice existing damage upon arriving, or if damage occurs accidentally during your stay, please notify MAGStock staff as soon as possible.
  • Furniture in cabins may be rearranged, as long as it is returned to its original position before you depart (Ramblewood provides helpful diagrams on the wall of each cabin).
  • Cabins are not air conditioned, but you may bring fans or other low-powered devices as the cabins do have outlets (you can run LED lights and charge your phone just fine, but leave your AC unit and microwave at home). We recommend bringing surge protectors and extension cords.
  • Cabins have overhead lights and storage cubbies for each bed.
  • Please note that cabins do not lock.

Beds in a private cabin. Most cabins look similar, although their layouts and levels of privacy vary, as detailed above.

Please view our full rules for more information about what is and is not allowed for each type of lodging, including fires/cooking devices, vehicle access, generators, etc.
