Welcome to Camp Gemstone Pond! Northern Maryland’s premiere summer camp for kids, where nothing bad ever happens!
We’ve planned a summer full of exciting new programs and returning favorites – like the Gemstone Prom! This year, there are six brand new camp counselors, and we can’t wait for you to meet:
Doran, Birdie, Rowan, Vivian, Ronny, and Boots.
They’re here to ensure all kids have the best summer ever, while staying safe, and engaging in classic camp activities in the areas of: nature, arts & crafts, music, sports, games, and vibes. During business hours, you’ll be able to find them upstairs in between the gameroom and the dining hall.
Parents, we heard your feedback. The lack of cellphone reception and wifi access at Camp Gemstone Pond last year made it hard for you to keep in constant contact with your kids. On the rare occasions they were able to answer their cellphones, the calls would drop suddenly for seemingly no reason. And text messages were always left on read. We assure you, your children do want to talk to you every day when they are at camp. And we have the solution!
Three antique payphones have been set up on the campgrounds, and we guarantee they’ll be in working condition all summer.* We’ve turned off the coin mechanic, so your kids can use these phones to call you for free, as much as they want to! And of course, you’re welcome to call Camp Gemstone Pond yourself anytime at 273-3204, and we’ll connect you with your child as long as they’re not in the middle of the pool, or a particularly rousing game of manhunt!
Kids, don’t forget to pack plenty of sunscreen, and something fun to wear to the Gemstone Prom on Friday, June 13th from 3pm to 6pm, where campers can vote for their favorite counselor to be crowned Gemstone Royalty! The theme this year is under the sea!
Mark your calendars for a special super secret concert on Saturday June 14th at 9:55pm down by the pond. Shhhhh. It’s a secret.
