Please note, this information pertains to MAGStock 2024.
We look forward to seeing you in 2025! Watch our website (https://www.magfest.org) and our Twitter (@MAGFest) for announcements.

By accepting a MAGStock wristband, attendees agree to follow the MAGFest, Inc. Code of Conduct in addition to the following rules specific to MAGStock and Camp Ramblewood.
General Decorum
Campsites may end up being close together, and that’s part of what’s great about MAGStock! At the same time, it means we need to be more mindful of each other’s space and belongings.
- You must wear your MAGStock wristband at all times.
- MAGStock is not clothing-optional, sorry y’all. Please maintain pool attire in all public spaces (keep those dangly bits covered). When in doubt, the final determination on whether something is appropriate will be made by our security staff.
- Shoes are required in indoor public spaces, especially the dining hall.
- Do not harass people. Please ensure you read our full policy in the Code of Conduct under “Harassment.” We take this very seriously.
- If you experience harassment at MAGStock, please report it onsite to our security department, email safe@magfest.org after the event, or fill out our anonymous reporting form.
- Dispose of your trash and recycling in designated receptacles–please don’t litter!
- Smoking and vaping are only permitted at least 20’ away from buildings/entrances, festival activities, campsites, etc. Butts must be put in designated receptacles–again, please don’t litter!
- If a neighbor asks you to keep it down, try to do so (especially between 11pm-8am).
- Selling things is prohibited unless you are part of our artist alley (including but not limited to food, drinks, art, merch, etc.). Definitely don’t sell alcohol, drugs, or other illegal stuff.
- This should go without saying, but don’t beg, steal, or vandalize.
- No fireworks. We love blowing stuff up too, but leave them at home.
- No drones. We also love flying machines, but drone use is reserved only for approved media members.
- No weapons other than clearly-marked prop weapons as permitted in the Code of Conduct.
- All personal belongings and vehicles must be cleared from the grounds by 2pm Sunday. Large items (including but not limited to furniture, mattresses, storage structures, inflatables, etc.) may not be disposed of at the campground and must be removed by the owner upon leaving the campground.
Repeated or egregious violations may result in relocation and/or removal from the event without a refund. Extreme cases may result in a ban from attending future MAGFest, Inc. events.
Vehicles & Generators
- Attendee vehicles are only permitted on the grounds during load-in (Thursday 12pm-5pm) and load-out (Sunday 9am-2pm), unless it is raining or muddy. You will be given a 1-hour timed parking pass; after your reserved time ends, you must move your vehicle back to the event parking lot.
- PLEASE NOTE: outside of the dates/times listed above, or if it is raining or muddy, vehicles will not be permitted on the grounds at all. You may drive as far as the pavement extends and we will have limited golf carts available for additional support, but please plan to be able to carry/wheel all your gear in and out, just in case.
- Car and RV camping are restricted to a large grassy field located directly behind the Horseshoe (cabins G-N on the map), which also contains the shared bathroom/shower facilities. Large vehicles such as U-Hauls or Penskes are considered RVs. There is a small additional fee for car/RV camping; for more details, please see Camping & Cabin Info.
- With the exception of the MAGStock-provided power hubs, generators are only permitted in the car/RV camping area, and may not be used between 11pm-8am.
Fires & Cooking
- With the exception of the MAGStock-provided bonfire, all fires & cooking devices must be raised off the ground (so you can bring your own grill or backyard fire pit, but you can’t make a ring of rocks on the grass and call it a day). Fires & cooking devices must be at least 20′ away from all cabins, porches, and other wooden structures.
- Don’t bring in wood from outside the campground. You may collect downed wood onsite (not green wood), purchase from the campground ($20 cash for a bundle), or plan to use another fuel source.
- Don’t set anything on fire that’s not supposed to be on fire.
- Don’t leave fires unattended.
Alcohol & Other Controlled Substances
- Please ensure you read our full policy in the Code of Conduct under “Substance Abuse.”
- Drinking is fine if you’re of age, but know your limits and don’t drink to the point of belligerence or being falling-down drunk. If you do, we’ll escort you to your tent or to our medical cabin to sleep it off.
- Glass containers are permitted at your own campsite only. Please pour your beverage into a plastic cup or other non-breakable container if you intend to walk around the grounds with it.
- No alcohol is permitted in the pool area or on the lake.
- As a perennial reminder, illegal stuff is illegal.
Swimming & Boating
- The pool is open 24 hours a day, which is super exciting! However, we will only be providing lifeguards at designated times each day. Swimming when there is no lifeguard on duty is AT YOUR OWN RISK.
- We plan to have lifeguards on duty from 7pm-10:30pm on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, as well as Friday & Saturday from 11am-5pm. Please note this schedule is subject to change pending lifeguard availability; please check pool signage for onsite updates.
- The lifeguards are there for your safety. Please comply with any instructions they may give you.
- Minors may only swim in the pool when there is a lifeguard present, and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Large inflatables are permitted, but may be removed at the lifeguards’ discretion if they are causing a hazard.
- Food and drink may only be consumed on the pool deck, with all of your body out of the water.
- Absolutely no glass or ceramic on the pool deck.
- Personal flotation devices (such as life vests) must be US Coast Guard approved PFDs.
- No swimming is permitted in the lake, only boating. Camp Ramblewood provides boating equipment, including personal flotation devices which must be used while boating. Boating is AT YOUR OWN RISK.
- Again, no alcohol is permitted in the pool area or on the lake.
- No boating is permitted on the lake after dark.
Minors
- Please ensure you read our full policy in the Code of Conduct under “Attendance by Minors.”
- Minors may attend MAGStock unescorted during the day, but in order to camp overnight, swim in the pool, or go boating, they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Minors must be at their campsite and under a parent or guardian’s supervision after 11pm.
Pets & Service Animals
- Unfortunately, pets and emotional support animals are not permitted at Camp Ramblewood.
- Trained service animals are permitted, but please email accessibility@magstock.org if you plan to bring a service animal so that we can make our staff and the campground aware. Thank you!
