ARG
LARP Manager and ARG Assistant
- Overview: The LARP Manager will lead production of the Camp Gemstone Pond Formal (the LARP). Production includes writing the LARP ahead of time (including mechanics and narrative), coordinating with other teams on the physical production of the LARP (music, game room, and fest ops), and producing the LARP live. They will also assist with ARG finale, which is similar in its production requirements, acting as a stage manager. In addition, they will coordinate the group of volunteers who are playing the NPCs in the ARG, and fill in at the ARG help desk when necessary.
- Expectations:
- Lead the ARG LARP (The Camp Gemstone Pond Formal) from pre-production through production, including creating mechanics, co-writing narrative with the ARG Department Head, coordinating production with other relevant departments, and day-of event production.
- Stage manage the ARG finale and assist the ARG Department Head with production.
- Coordinate the ARG volunteers/cast members and fill in at the ARG help desk when necessary.
- Requirements:
- Experience creating and producing LARPs at MAGFest or other events. Required.

Projectiles
Rangemaster
- Expectations:
- Actively watch the range and surrounding area for hazards when coverage is scheduled
- Run the range with or without an assistant
- Be reliably on shift early and stay late for handoff
- Enforce Range Rules at all times
- Comfortable deescalating and/or calling for Security if needed
- Ensure all equipment/gear is in working order, clean, and set up for participants
- Ability to quickly observe, assess, and respond to issues of safety
- Requirements:
- Experience:
- Volunteered with projectiles before or significant experience with another range.
- Experience shooting traditional bows and/or slingshots (and willing to learn the other)
- Physical Requirements:
- Visually observing the range (including long-distance)
- Ability to yell/call out commands
- Training:
- Take MAGStock Rangemaster training on Day 1 of MAGStock
- American Red Cross Certification for First Aid helpful but not required

Public Safety
Lifeguard
- Expectations:
- Actively guard the pool during hours where coverage is scheduled
- Enforce the rules of the pool
- Be prepared to make rescues if needed
- Certifications: must have current/up-to-date American Red Cross or Ellis certification for lifeguarding.
