Mega Beardo began in the hills of West Virginia sometime in 2006. Now based out of Pittsburgh, Mega Beardo has been specializing in original compositions and metal arrangements of video game music for nearly 20 years. He entered the VGM scene in 2010 with the “Mega Man 2 Guitar Tribute” album, followed by the original Castlevania concept album “Belmont” and a heavy slab of prog metal in the form of “The Ledjent of Zelda.” In the past decade, Mega Beardo has concentrated on writing and releasing more original albums, such as the back-to-back chiptune metal albums “From Beyond the Gradient” and “Abscind.”
In the VGM scene, Mega Beardo also performs in the bands Viking Guitar Live, Lonelyrollingstars and The Arkadian, which has given him the honor of playing at video game festivals around the USA. Outside of VGM, he also plays bass in the WV-based metal band Byzantine on Metal Blade Records.
